Polestar Concept BST hints at a future premium model focused on motorsport

Polestar has unveiled a striking new two-seat roadster concept that hints at a future premium car focused on motorsport. According to the upcoming 6.

Unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Concept BST is a track-focused reworking of the supercar-slayer 6 sports car. The revised version features a removable roof and adds a vented bonnet and front splitter, a large rear wing, reinforced wheel arches and a significantly wider track.

Equipped with 22-inch alloy wheels, it is the second Polestar model to carry the BST brand, following the special series 2 BST Edition 270, which featured a lower ride height, stiffer springs and adjustable dampers.

This car was first shown in concept form at Goodwood in 2021, before going into limited production the following year.

The new concept retains the same bonded aluminum unibody platform as the 6.

Polestar has yet to reveal official powertrain details, but the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive system producing 875 horsepower and 860 lb-ft of torque featured in the 6 and its upcoming 5 sedans is expected to remain the same.

This system also uses 800V architecture, which provides fast charging.
