Jamison Battle to Play for Toronto in NBA Summer League

Jamison Battle, who played college basketball for five years, most recently at Ohio State, is heading to Las Vegas to begin his professional career.

The Toronto Raptors have signed former Ohio State forward Jamison Battle to play in the NBA Summer League this month, according to the Toronto Raptors. X account.

Battle will get his first shot at an NBA roster Saturday against Oklahoma City at 5:30 p.m. at the Pavilion on the University of Nevada campus in Las Vegas.

Toronto will play the rest of its Summer League games against Denver on Sunday, Utah on Wednesday and Miami on July 19.

Battle averaged 15.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in his final season at Ohio State.

Before Columbus, Battle spent his first two college seasons at George Washington University before moving on to the University of Minnesota, just 15 minutes from his hometown of Robbinsdale, Minnesota. ESPN profile.

Battle caught the attention of many NBA front offices with his shooting skills at Ohio State, where he converted 43.3 percent of his three-pointers on six attempts per game. He was also very efficient from the three-point line and the free throw line, shooting 51.2 percent on two-pointers and a Buckeye-record 92.6 percent from the free throw line.

Over his five-year college career, Battle has made 2,016 career total points, including 348 three-pointers. He was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team during his freshman season in 2020, to the All-A-10 Third Team in 2021, and to All-Big Ten Honors in both 2022 and 2024.
