Kabesa, a dual flyweight champion in the EFC, is considered one of the best wrestlers in African MMA after successfully defending his featherweight title last year and adding the lightweight title to his collection with a stunning first-round submission.

Known as the ‘King Cobra’, Mulenga has made a name for himself with his devastating punches, finishing all of his opponents in the first round. His recent performances have sent shockwaves through the lightweight division and earned him a title shot against Kabesa. This fight looks set to be an explosive clash between two of the continent’s best lightweights.

The co-main event is a heavyweight clash between French forward Anthony Morel and British powerhouse Joffie Houlton for the vacant title. Morel has been on a roll since entering the hexagon last year, finishing off his opponents with ease, while Houlton is known for putting his opponents to sleep with devastating elbow strikes. This fight looks set to be a toe-to-toe clash between the two power forwards.

“In these high-stakes title fights, 26 fighters from across Africa will converge on Johannesburg to compete in the EFC’s biggest event to date. Other bouts include Mozambique’s Edson Machavane taking on South Africa’s Salahuddin Plaatjies and South Africa’s Billy Nyembo taking on Congo’s Kaleka Kabanda. Get ready for an exciting night of action in the Golden City,” said EFC media.
