Scottish Football Team Glasgow Rangers in Talks with WWE Over Potential Collaboration

The Clash at The Castle Premium Live Event took place on June 15th at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, and the show featured many memorable moments. The event will be remembered for a long time, with Glasgow Rangers football club apparently in talks with WWE regarding possible collaborations.

The Premium Live Event featured a number of sold matches, with Sami Zayn retaining the Intercontinental Championship and Bayley retaining the WWE Women’s Championship. Damian Priest retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship following interference from CM Punk.

There was controversy at WWE Clash at the Castle over merchandise that closely resembled the home kit of the Glasgow Rangers football team, formerly known as Rangers. The design was eventually withdrawn.

WWE was mentioned at the Rangers fan advisory board meeting and Rangers expressed openness to collaborating with the sports entertainment giant. Rangers Director of Business Growth Natalie Nairn said that discussions with WWE are ongoing regarding a possible collaboration. She acknowledged that they are interested in expanding their connection with WWE following the incident regarding Clash at the Castle merchandise.

“CH (Craig Hannah) He said WWE’s ‘Clash at the Castle’ top was removed because it resembled the Rangers jersey and asked if there was a possibility of the connection to WWE being expanded.

N N ((Natalie Nairn) He said it was a collaboration and that they were in communication with WWE.”

Whether or not WWE and Glasgow Rangers will eventually work together remains to be seen, as WWE is currently steadily expanding its business in a variety of ways.
