Guam Cal Ripken Baseball League all-star teams head to regional tournament in California, Hawaii | Sports

Guam’s youth baseball players will once again represent the island in a prestigious regional tournament in California and Hawaii.

Organizers of the Guam Cal Ripken Baseball League, a division of the Babe Ruth Baseball Program, announced that four youth baseball players between the ages of 8 and 16 will represent Guam in the annual Pacific Southwest Cal Ripken All-Stars Regional Tournament.

The dates and locations where each division will compete are as follows:

• July 14-20: 8u Division, Rohnert Park, California

• July 14-20: 10u Division, Kingsburg, California

• July 14-20: 12u Division, Oahu, Hawaii

• July 21-27: Division 13-16, Tulare, California

The Guam Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth program encourages the use of organized competitive baseball, teaching skills, mental and physical development, respect for the rules of the game, and the fundamental ideals of sportsmanship and fair play.

The program aims to provide participants with the best possible educational and sports experience in every aspect.

Their core belief is that every child who has the desire to play baseball should be given the opportunity.
