talkSPORT betting tips – Wimbledon Thursday tennis accumulator betting tips

Wimbledon is approaching the tough part of the tournament, with the women’s singles semi-finals just around the corner.

Two of the remaining four have the opportunity to book a date with the All England Club, which will allow them to book their place in Saturday’s final.

Jasmine Paolini, the tournament’s in-form player, can secure her place in a second consecutive Grand Slam final with a win over unseeded Donna Vekic.

Meanwhile, Elena Rybakina is expected to reach another final at Wimbledon, but the 2022 champion may need to work hard.

Paolini heads to second Slam

Paolini was a finalist at the French Open in Paris last month, where she faced clay-court specialist Iga Swiatek.

The 28-year-old Italian has had a fantastic few months, winning her second career WTA Tour title at the Dubai Championships in February and currently sitting seventh in the world rankings, having risen from 31st late last year.

She is, to put it mildly, in the best form of her life and is expected to beat unseeded world number 37 Vekic to secure a place in the SW19 final.

Paolini has won four of their five Wimbledon meetings in straight sets. The players have met three times, with the Italian winning two of them in straight sets.

Vekic will be entering his first Grand Slam semi-final and the pressure could soon mount on him in what has the potential to be his toughest challenge yet in London.

He’s taken three sets in four of his five matches, and that may be going a bit too far.

Rybakina must be very strong

Rybakina has no shortage of experience and the 2022 champion is well on her way to a return to the final.

The 25-year-old is playing her sixth Wimbledon and has reached the last eight on three successive occasions, the best of which was recovering from a set down to beat Ons Jabeur in the final here two years ago.

She has won four of her five victories here this year in straight sets and has lost just nine games in her last three, including a 6-3 6-2 defeat of Elina Svitolina in the quarterfinals.

Krejcikova serves well and the world number 25 has a first serve accuracy of 60 per cent this season, winning almost 68 per cent of her points.

These statistics will certainly help him to hold his own in this competition and at least make it competitive. He has already been involved in five tie-breaks at Wimbledon and one more would put him on a good track to need more than 21.5 games to find a winner in this competition.
